Fizz & Falconry - Chapel Down (POSTPONED)

Meet and handle a range of birds of prey followed by lunch and a guided tour of the vineyards and winery. Plus a gift to take home.

An amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in a morning of falconry, amongst the beautiful vineyards at Chapel Down. The new Fizz and Falconry Experience includes the basics of handling birds of prey, you will meet a range of birds, learn about their natural habits, and any conservation work being carried out with the species.

The day continues with the opportunity to call ‘Abe’ the great grey owl from a tree to the glove. You will then meet the Harris hawks, who will join the group on a walk through the vineyard, during the walk the hawks will periodically be called into the guests’ gloves.

Finally, you will meet one of the falcons that work to protect our grapes every autumn. The falcon will be flown to the lure and your instructor will explain how they work to clear smaller birds and protect the crop in an eco-friendly way
